The Fort Nelson Demonstration Forest Is a series of trails in the forest located on the northwest corner of town with access at the west end of Mountainview Drive. Three main trails off the trail head are groomed in the summer months for hiking and walking - at the trail head and around the pond area there is bench and picnic table seating, with three outdoor pit toilets located off the three main trails. The rest of the trails are available during the winter for cross country skiing.
No camping,smoking, alcohol or motorized vehicles are permitted. As a Recreation Sites and Trails BC site, the Demonstration Forest is user-maintained. Please ensure that you take any garbage with you when you leave.
